VIN Notification?
Just ordered a 2017 F-350. Think I'll keep my '01 F-350 as I love that 7.3 and wouldn't get what it's really worth...
Ordered two days ago. How long did you guys have to wait until you got an email of the VIN of your new rig so you could track the progress of the build?

My dealer didn't contact me when they got the VIN, but I called them after a couple weeks and they gave it to me. I waited about a week after that and then chatted with a Ford rep on the website and was able to get a link to my window sticker.

I just checked the COTUS today and found that it was finally entered in there. As of yesterday no one had any information. So that makes it 24 days from the time I ordered at the dealer. Now I wait for build and delivery estimates.

Mine has been ordered over 3 weeks and still doesn't show up anywhere, I'm sure it will pop up any day now.

My dealer called me with my new truck;s VIN fifteen days after I placed the order.
You can check the RAW DATA in the forum members' order spreadsheet to get an idea about elapsed time and dates.
You can use your VIN to eventually get your new truck's window sticker here.
You might be able to track your truck's production progress here.
Finally, you will eventually be able to get a build date confirmation here. Select the "Vehicle" tab.
