could be low in fluid or fluid may need changed. to check the fluid, park on level ground with the motor running, tranny in neutral. be sure to warm up the tranny to operating temp first. also look at the fluid, if it smells bad, or is brown then the tranny fluid needs to be changed, and while the pan is off may as well change the filter.

if you don't have the tranny serviced regularly evey 20,000 miles, i would urge you to not do a flush or change filter. if the fluid looks,smells good, you may be ok.
