luk replacement flyweel

I have a 95 7.3 psd and just replaced the dmfw with a luk aftermarket single flywheel. The pedal feels very spongy and everytime i try to put it in reverse it grinds. I have put two different slave cylinders and a different master cylinder and still having trouble. I have bled the system numorous times and have gotten the same results. When i was able to drive it I had to have the pedal on the floorboard to disengage the clutch from the flywheel. Also, the pedal only would move about 2 inches from the floor and it would totally disengage. Any body that has used the luk replacement flywheel could you please describe the difference in the pedal between dmfw and the luk replacement.
