As I start the process to open up the brake drums, doing one wheel off the ground at a time,
How much capacity bottle/floor jack and stand should I have to use?
I have read to loosen the lug nuts one turn and drive for 1/4 mile to loosen the dual wheels, is that advisable?
Planning on rebuilding the wheel cylinders after honing them out, or better to replace them? (read of fitment issues with China parts)(NAPA on the corner hope they have the parts) I think 15x6 shoes but will have to measure.
I have done Jeep and F150 brakes before, this should be pretty straight forward except larger and two cylinders in each back wheel. Is that a pretty good assumption?

We usually see F100, F250 and the occasional F350 in this forum. It says F100 and larger, but there is another forum I felt compelled to mention. It says it is "The forum for 2+ ton trucks (all years), COE's, Louisville's, Big-Job's etc.".

You might find others more in touch with your situation there.

Large Truck - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

But, it's sort of a toss up.

Yes, I've read all of your posts but I didn't understand one or two things so I'm starting all over again. Although, I noticed now that Search is not showing threads older than 7/27/2016 so I put in a site annoucement and will wait for word on that.

A 2 ton floor jack will lift it empty one corner at a time. On removing rear wheels take outer nuts off pull wheel then inner nuts pull wheel. there is 2 wheel cyls on each wheel. to remove rear drums will have to pull axle then remove nuts holding hub/drum assembly. Will need new hub seals,rears are wet

Be sure to look for the L or R stamp on end of stud, to identify left or right threads.

Thanks

Are there any special tools require to pull the axle out?

If the dual tires are rusted/stuck together is it advised to loosen the lug nuts one turn and drive 1/4 mile or so and they will loosen?

I looked under the hood and it has a V8 in it. Any way to tell what size it is? The warranty plate said it was a 330 which is a 6 cylinder, correct?

The 330 is the FT engine for medium and heavy duty trucks. It is a V-8, not a 6 cylinder.

No.
4th digit of the VIN is the engine code:

A = 1964/65 330 2V Medium Duty FT V8 engine.

A = 1966/74 240 1V I-6.

C = 1966/78 330 2V Medium Duty FT V8 engine.
