5.4 spark plug broke in head.
Bad, Bad, Bad. Sorry for your luck man. It happens though. Is the plug broken off even with the hole? If the remains of the plug are all below the opening, then I think you will have to remove the head. Can't have any metal shavings getting in the cylinder.
Just out of curiostity, how many miles were on those plugs?

Oh, man that sucks. I always fear that when I go to do plugs. So I'm guessing you were removing the plug and it broke? Do you have the wheel well plastic skirt out for more working room? Is the plug all rounded off? Try using a normal deep well socket, a smaller size down to see if you can get a good fit. If that doesn't work, you can take some pliers to it. Let me know if this helps. I've never had this problem. I always use penetrating oil a few hours before and I let it soak in.
