Trying to figure out how to remove the front grill on a 2013 Explorer limited edition. I had the Air Force One braking system installed on the vehicle for towing behind the motorhome, and they put the main controller right behind the lic. plate.
I want to remove the braking system and install it on my 04 F-350 truck now that I have it set up to tow.
I have removed the top screws on the grill and can't figure out how it is attached to the full plastic bumper. Or even how to get down there to remove the screws..Even removing the bumper looks complicated not knowing which screws need to be removed.....Would really appreciate some directions here so I don't break any parts......Thanks in advance for any ideas....Doug..
I've toyed with the idea of making the 6 passenger Exp Sport our toad, but the AWD tranny warnings and procedures concerned me enough to wait since the Jeep is so easy to tow...
Jdadamsir..That is a good choice..The explorer towed ok, but the way they mounted the brake controller in the explorer, it made the vehicle flash brake failure warnings in red on the dash information screen and tell us to stop immediately... I think it was messing with the vacuum from the engine to the booster..And I was concerned with the tranny too..Just didn't have a feel good feeling about towing it...
And i am sure your jeep can push harder than the explorer...lol........
