Decoding help please
I am looking for some decoding help on a 1977 F600 I am looking at buying. I want something that will handle my 40' flatbed a little easier than my F350 does. I will try to post the codes below. Any comments would be appreciated. It was originally used as a water truck. Thanks

E = 361 2V or 4V FT engine.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
Y20051 = 1977.
158" Wheelbase.
T = Candyapple Red.
F661 = F600 4WD (gas) .. 24,000 lbs. GVWR
AA8: AA = Black Vinyl-Full Width Seat / 8 = 81A Standard Cab.
M = Clark model 285V 5 Speed Direct.
54J:
54 = Rockwell-Timken model H-170 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.83-1 / 17,500 lbs. Axle Capacity.
J = Ford 5,000 lbs. Capacity Front Axle with P/S
24,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
528206:
52 = Dallas TX Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
8206 = Domestic Special Order number, truck special ordered by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."
FE/FT have 5 valve cover bolt holes per side.
Most sellers haven't a single clue what size the engines really are.
A 361 is no powerhouse.
6.83 gears with what appear to be 40" tires along with the 1:1 high gear will give you just over 3400 RPM at 60 MPH, 2868 RPM at 50 MPH.
Weight and frontal area are concerns as well.
Brake parts other than drums are available. No new drums are to be found.
These were probably the best trucks in their class when new or newish.
40 years on, equipped as it is, don't expect it to do something it was not designed to do.
I was reading online that if I find a donor F700 with a 3208 Cat in a 2wd everything will bolt right in since my transfer case is divorced. Tires currently on it are 9.00 x 20, but they aren't the right tires. Apparently it is supposed to have G's, but only E's are on it at present.
You can run them at 2800 rpm all day, 2400 would be better, 3200 if you want to live dangerously.
If you bring an OD trans over with the CAT, you might be in business.
