Automatic photo

Why can't there be an automatic "add photo" to the reply to any thread. I can't remember how to add pic every time and I doubt I'm the only one. It could be on the top of reply box and would help out everyone.
Just thinking up something to write on a slow/cold Sunday morning.

They've made it so simple now, I can't imagine there is an easier way. In the old days we had to use 3rd party hosting, really sucked

I guess between the conversion to Windows 10 and other changes I have found it to be not so easy, but I have been accused of being a Ludite. Could someone please post the current easiest way to post photos? I will print it or copy it by hand if necessary. A lot of my posts have lost momentum because I couldn't post photos..Thanks

Question

The easiest way to post is to use the picture icon above the text entry box. But you may need to be a paying member.

Once you select the picture icon you will be given the choice to search your computer, take a picture or select My albums. When you have found the picture(s) you want (check it/them) and hit done. The picture(s) will download and give you the option to label the picture (if you want) Finally you select Insert and your pucture(s) are in your text block.
Sounds much more complicated than it is.
OBTW If you do everything and DON'T select insert nothing is added. Don't ask how many times I've done it..

The problem I have is when you PM someone you can't add pictures. It asks for to enter the URL of your image. , I don't know what that means. ( Need to have an emoji of an old guy and a cane). ,Doug.

I agree Doug! Adding a photo to a edit or a PM is a PITA. You have to revert back to the old way we use to add photos. This means you have to have a separate photo account (Many of us used Photobucket) and store your pictures there. Then when you wanted to post one you would go to the photo's info, select URL and past that into the blank requesting the URL.

Not sure why the admin/programmers didn't add the same function to edits and PMs that they have for regular POSTs.

I have never been able to do that either Doug. We are both Members so not sure if FTE technology isn't there yet or we are missing something.

Here is how I do pictures from the start:

1. I have a Google account. So every picture I take on my phone goes to the
"Cloud". The picture is also on the phone but they automatically delete on
the back side at some point.

2. Open up Google Photos on my laptop and download the picture I want to
save to my computer. More than 2 and you have to extract them from a
zip folder.

3. Extract pictures to the File that you want them stored in on your
computer.

4. They are now on the computer. Click the "insert image" on the message
screen. Then "Browse your Devise". Choose the folder, then picture. It
should start to download by counting up in %.

5. Last but not least, click Insert. Couple of other things. Always make sure
you have the curser in the spot you want the pictures to start. Also always
"Preview Post" before finally "Submitting Reply"

Clear as MUD There is also an FTE app on the Google Play Store if you are handy with your phone. Good luck, Dave

Here are some screen shots. I'm using a Mac but I don't think that a Windows PC is much different.

Step one

Step 2

Step 3 & 4 - Select the file and click on choose in bottom right corner

Step 5 & 6 add any explanatory text then click on insert.
