Well, I sure hope you are home free this time! Having leaks and having to enlist friends to help redo things is frustrating for sure.

I have no real advice to give on the valve adjustment. I just turned over the engine by hand until the friend working with me said stop. I then used a feeler gauge to make the valve adjustments. There was a different spec for the exhaust and intake valves, and we used the firing order to determine which cylinder to work on. If my friend was right about when each cylinder was at TDC, the valves should be adjusted pretty close to where they should be. To be really correct, I guess the procedure should be repeated with the engine hot.

USGC Panel, the book says to do the final adjustment when engine is up to temperature.
