1996 150 question
Ok, well since winter's coming I figure it's about time to change the clunking U-joints in my dad's 1996 F-150 4x4. Anyone have any good ways of removing the fun to get at snap ring??? Yep the first one you get to as you open the hub. I have no problem on my older trucks, but this one is a real pain

I use the 2 screwdriver trick....it still is a pain but it works
use two very small screwdrivers one to pry it up a little and the other to sort of kick it out. I dont know why they dint put the little bend in them like on the old ones.

Yep, they've gotta change good things. I've tried the 2 screw drivers, the one screw driver and an awl, two awl's, metal tooth scraper and a awl (or screw driver). Nothing makes this job easy . You'd think they'd make a little tool to get it out easy.......
