I haven't got to this part of my build yet but I am confused on why there is single side glass kits for flat or curved glass , Does my 53 not have flat glass and if so how is curved going to work ?
I do not have any in-process pics but here are a couple pics of the last flat glass mod I did. It is a simple process, remove the vent assembly and the window fuzzies, lay the new straight angle pieces on the door window opening and mark where the door needs to be cut, cut out the door section and weld in the straight angle pieces. The trick is to maintain the proper window opening gap while welding in the new angle sections and to keep the warpage at a minimum. If you are an experienced welder it is not much of a job...if not, practice on something else before you screw up your truck doors.
I'm going through the process right now. Just started building the new window channels. My doors were not straightened, so I have to go with the curved extended window lifts and curved glass. The best instructions I have found are at MidFifty: Instructions - Mid Fifty F-100 Parts
If you go the curved glass route, I may have a brand new set of curved 1 piece windows that won't work with my chopped top.
