Long term wear?
Im going to go the "cheap way out" on lifting (body) my "00 exp. sport"
Numerous people said about cranking up the torsion bars 2' and installing shackles on the rear..........My question does this cause exsessive tire and suspension/steering componant wear on the truck? I know the rear will be fine but im concerned about the other stuf! Has any had any neg. effects doing this after driving for 20-30,000 mi. ? The only experience I have with torsion bars was on my old 71 dodge demon (broke one) which I had to replace. The car was %$#@ and I was young so I didn't really monitor the above mentioned. The truck only has 24k on it and I plan on keeping it for quite a while (barring problems).

I have never cranked the torsion bars on a Ford, but I have on numerous Chevys for buddies of mine. You should get the front end realigned, but other than that the only negative effect would be a rougher riding frontend.
