Hensley Arrow

Can anyone provide some real information. I've had the same draw tight hitch since 1993. Thinking of a new camper and also the Hensley hitch. Camper would be in the 8000 pound range.

Have you considered the ProPride? Discussion here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-trigger.html

Others will jump in that have the Hensley Arrow.

The heavier you tow and the windier it gets, the more you will appreciate the Hensley/Propride hitches.

I have been using a Propride for 3 years to tow our trailer which weighs in at 8000 lbs loaded for camping and I would not tow without it. The Propride and Hensley Arrow are very similar in design and function. You can google their history and common design origins. The one thing that steered me towards the Propride 3P was adjustable height of the stinger which can be adjusted if I change to another Ford with a different receiver height.

I tow our 11,000lb TT with a Hensley Arrow and love every mile!
As was said, the heavier (and longer) and the more crosswinds the more the HA/PP will earn their keep. To add to that, a short-ish wheelbase tow vehicle, like my 137" EX will feel more of the hitch's benefits too.
I picked mine up used for $650 and did a repaint along with a couple of new bearings and seals. I upgraded from the 1k spring bars to my current 1400lb bars and got new bushings and specific hardware from Hensley.
Have had it for over 6 years now on two different trailers and have logged about 30K miles towing with it.

I hate trailer sway, love the ProPride! It is on my 3rd trailer now and wouldn't use it without it.

I had a hensey on my 96 TT. While there is a bit of a learning curve to hook it up, (the hitch stays in the tongue of the TT) It was very stable and towed very good.

Had an HA on my enclosed trailer. Loved it. With my Excursion, it was night and day.

If you have the cash, highly recommended.

That's where I put the stinger in when in a park.
