2018 Engine Options

Hey All,

From the little I see published about the coming 2018 model, it appears that the 3.5L Ecoboost will only be offered in the Platinum trim level. Is that what you are reading too? The rest will have the 2.7 (or maybe 5.0?). I hope this isn't true. Feedback appreciated.

Regards,
Craig

i hope they offer the 2.7l, its 300lbs lighter but the 2.7 is stronger than the 5.4 on a lighter platform. i think it would make a great entry engine and lop xpl thousand off the price tag. ppl love it in the f150.

Thanks for the responses. By the above link, it looks like the 3.5 will be offered on any model (which is good). I have a feeling the 2.7 will be the "base" engine. Looking forward to these rolling out!

Some of the press articles hinted that the new 375HP 3.5L would be the standard engine and Platinums would get a 400HP version of that. Wait and see I guess.
