General Observations / Appreciation
Instruments of Delivery
OK, I am a newbie on this forum but I do have a lot of experience pulling trailers. I have 10 years with the teamsters (Carolina Freight, ABF, CF, Yellow) in the city LTL operations as well as 2 years with Allied Systems hauling cars. As far as I am concerned today's diesel trucks are beyond awesome. I have a '15 Chevy 3500 HD with an 11' flat bed as my primary delivery vehicle for my business. This is my second Chevy as the first one was totaled in an accident. Both were bought new and maintained only by the dealer. We average 1K miles per week making deliveries. I recently bought a F-250 4x4 diesel with the Lariat Ultimate package. I have pulled the same loads with that truck as the Chevy's and can honestly say the Ford is superior to the Chevy in every way except for the braking, which was explained by forum members as the difference between vacuum assist (F-250) and hydro-boost (F-350 & up + all GM HD's). I made a trip from north Florida to northern Indiana on Friday and truck was flawless as well as very comfortable. There is no way I could have sat in that Chevy for that long. IMO, Ford has done a hell of a job with this truck and my next flat bed will be a F-350 cab & chassis. You guys have some awesome rigs and I enjoy reading the discussions as it gives me knowledge and helps prevent me (as well as others) from making mistakes from lack of knowledge. So you posting fiends and gurus are definitely appreciated. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
