Angry tail light problem

well here is the problem i have a 67 f-100 and just had electical work done to the tail lights cause when the front blinkers were flashing the right way the rear were doing the opposite. well that got fixed for about two days. cause today i got pulled over and was told that they were not working. here is what is going on, when i turn the lights on that works, but i have no blinker action in either tail light nor brake lights going on. the front blinkers work just fine. any ideas.

tail light problem

I would try to work on the brake lights first(although most of the circuit is shared with the blinkers). Get a test light and crawl under the dash and check for voltage at the brake switch(unless your year has the pressure switch on the master cylinder, in which case check that). The test light should glow all the time on one side of the switch, and glow on the other side with the brake pedal pushed. If that's ok, then check the wires going down the steering column. The brake switch current goes through the turn signal switch, and then flows through two seperate wires down the column, along the frame, to each brake light bulb. Let me see if I can find out what color those wires are.

None of my sources have a diagram for that year truck. Maybe somebody will jump in and give you the wire colors.

thanks dave, before i checked the forum today i had already monkied around enough with it and figured out the problem. it was a loose wire in the harness coming out of the steering column. thanks though.
