Hello fellow ford gurus! I am a 15 year old girl using my dads account because I need your help. I am looking to fix/restore an 1965 F-250.
So here is what we have: Front brakes are from a 76 F-250 w/dual piston calipers (8500 and up GVW?) Rear brakes are from a 81 F-250 w/ monstrous drum brakes (12" x 3"). We need a total solution for booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve that is compatible with this setup. Is it possible that an 81 has the same front brake setup, so an all 81 system will work?
Thank you very much for any input I might receive.
1. Dual diaphragm brake booster/brackets from a '68-'77 F250/F350 (turn wrecking yard core booster in for a newly rebuilt dual diaphragm booster part number 54-73112 --(NAPA and O'Reilly parts store number).
2. Disc/drum brake valve from a '73-'79 Dentside F250 with twin piston front calipers.
3. New (not rebuilt) 1-1/16" bore MC for a '78/'79 F250.
