Thats a great deal but I don't think I can use it as it would throw of my current exhaust pipes. I appreciate you seeing what you can find for me.

Hi Chad,

I found a new NOS one that I am going to buy. No need to search any longer.

Awesome. I'd found what I was looking for but it must have been from some other vehicle since the bolt hole spacing was just a tad smaller, like maybe 3" center-to-center, but I hadn't measured it yet since I could tell by eyeballing it that it wasn't right.

Making progess

Began putting the accesories on the engine. I had the flywheel machined and a new ring gear installed at the machine shop while the engine was being rebuilt. Installed a new clutch and pressure plate and used the transmission to fit it properly just to be sure it would go back to together easily when laying under the truck. The alignment tool that came with the clutch kit did not fit in my bearing. Also installed the bell housing and the starter then set the engine in place and installed studs to be used when mounting the exhaust manifolds. Here are few pics.

Made some progress over the last few days. All accessories installed on the engine, exhaust manifolds installed (still need some long studs to connect the exhaust on drivers side). Today I rented a transmission jack and installed the NP435 by myself. I don't recommend this but sometimes you have to press on. Glad to have it this far along. Need a few misc items and I will be firing it up soon.

Put the radiator support, radiator and drive shaft in today. Running out of parts to put on. I'm waiting on some 7/16 all thread to make my exhaust manifold studs out of and need a few more misc. parts. Shouldn't be long until I try and start it.

It's been awhile since I posted an update. I did not work on the truck for several weeks but am happy to report that I now have it running and have started putting the front end back on it. Should be taking it for a test drive this week.

I also have the carpet installed. I still have more interior details to finish up.

Thanks for the kudo's on the truck. Once I get it outside and cleaned up I will post some better pictures. It's been a long journey but it almost complete. I'm get excited to get to drive it again.

I am happy to report that I have now driven the truck 2 times and no leaks or squawks found yet. Gave it quick rinse to get the dust off it and snapped a few pictures.

Must be nice to see it sitting outside the house, knowing that all you need to do is turn the key. Nice job.

What vendor/brand of carpet did you use? It looks like it fits very well.

I bought the carpet from Custom Automotive Carpet. Here is the link https://www.accmats.com/ The carpet does contour nicely to the floor. I highly recommend them.
