Throttle Body Spacer, any issues while installing

Folks, Just installing a Throttle body Spacer on my 302. The instructions are not very good.

It mentions that I may have to readjust the cables, is this true?

Its running perfectly don't want to get into a mess.

Is there anything I need to be careful with other then the instructions.

If any one can share then experience and give me some pointers, I would appreciate it.

thanks

Okay, I installed it. It was from Jet Performance.
The instructions were very minimal.
There was no mark as to which direction it should be facing. And yes it would have made a difference because of the way the grooves are cut.

I called them, they said the side with the part number should be away from the manifold towards the air intake.

My recommendation is to immediately mark this with an arrow on the side so that when installing you can be assured that you have it facing the right side. I didn't

So I had to look through the throttle body just to assure my self. I think I have it right

I had checked the idle running and initial RPM on cold start before installing.

I checked these after installing also, no change. That was good. In some cases the cables may need to be adjusted.

I tested, I was able to spin the tires in second gear. And noticed a gain in acceleration.

I still have this voice inside my head that I should take it out and check it again that I have it facing the right way

Cool, I've never heard how the changes if any they would make.
Were you able to spin the tires in second before the change? Does it give you a noticeable improvement, do you think it was worth it?

Well, I only did that in first before. But I wouldn't go by that.
I installed the K&N FIPK, noticed a change in acceleration about two weeks ago.

Then I installed a new MAF 73mm from Vortech, I noticed a bigger change, The truck felt that it had become lighter, if that makes sense. This was a week ago.

The Throttle body spacer I think made a difference, but not as much as the MAF.

But It was cool to put it in. Even if it gave me a slightest boost, its worth it to me. Now I can concentrate on other mods.

Exhaust next. Then MSD and Electric fans with the Pulleys and bigger alternator and so on so on.

Already installed a new rearview mirror with outside temperature and compass, new alarm with pager system, new cap. Bed rug, dome light, tailgate power lock going in this week, new fog lamps, new head lamps. Been busy.

Oh combined with all three mods, there is a lot of difference.
