My local dealer has had a black one on the lot for a bit, but a Ruby Red one just showed up last week.

Of course I had to go look at it!

My guess was at 10k over MSRP, but I was wrong... They have them both sitting there at 15k over MSRP!

I'm sure they will eventually sell them as well, I just won't be buying at that price

There was a Lightning Blue '17 Raptor at my local dealership, back when they were first available. I didn't see the price tag, but I'd guess it was $15-20k over MSRP. It must have sold quickly, as it was replaced with a Ruby Red one a month later!

It's funny...I bought my '17 XLT for $10k under MSRP less than a week ago. It has virtually the same drivetrain, same power figures, and came in a more exciting color than you can get on a new Raptor (Race Red) IMHO, but it had to have been $20-30k less than you can get a new Raptor for! It's funny how much someone will pay for a Raptor!

I wasn't aware you could get 450 factory HP and independant front suspension in a 4wd XLT....

Independent suspension yes, 450 HP no. Comparing an XLT to a Raptor is ridiculous though.

Sorry - I just stepped out of the SuperDuty world into my first new F150 since 1981...

450 HP and a long travel suspension with a factory warranty.

If you have the $$$ to enjoy it, power to you. I enjoy seeing them on the streets, they look seriously badass. IMO it's a better use of money than the ridiculous amounts people spend on some luxury or sport cars.

Are these huge mark-ups only on the Raptors on the lot?

What if you order a Raptor will you still be looking at the over MSRP prices, or can you work out a better deal?

Depends on the dealer. They only get so many allocations so they may not be willing to order one they way you want it unless it is a popular configuration and color, just in case the deal fell through. You'd probably have to be a long time repeat customer to get one at MSRP.

I was offered one at MSRP a few weeks ago. It was an order that fell through. I didn't like the color or the equipment. If and when I buy a Raptor it will have to be to my liking, no or very minor comprising to buy at MSRP, much less at a markup.

Oh, the one I mentioned above was gone within a day.

Dealer loyalty helps. I bought 4 trucks from my dealer in the last 12 years. They only had 2 allocations for 2017 Raptors. I ordered mine spec'd out exactly how I wanted it for MSRP. All of the other local dealers around here are getting $5k over MSRP.

One of the local dealers here has a Ruby Red 2017 and a Lead Foot 2018 for $5k over MSRP.
I was talking to one of the salesman yesterday, he said the Ruby Red one may be gone today.

It is astonishing that people are willing to pay MSRP, let alone any ADM. These trucks can be had at invoice, or slightly above invoice. There are more and more reports of this now. If you shop smart, you will find these deals.

The dealership I mentioned above is about as bad as they come. I highly doubt they're getting anywhere near the $25,000 markup, but they are probably getting well over MSRP. There is a lot of stupid money in the area.

The dealer where I bought my truck has a black Raptor, they are giving almost $1800 OFF of MSRP....so yes....you don't have to pay MSRP or above MSRP.
MSRP = $68,950
Their price = $67,185
