Just wondering what most of u guys did w the extended 3 yr to 6 yr bump to bumper warranty offering?
My dealer is giving me a week to decide.... so for it to be a new vs used add on, the invoice has to be rewritten and there is a benifit for the new add on vs the later one.
Just curious. There's lots of wiring and electronics in these new trucks. Could pay off I guess, but I will admit I never buy these things on my other purchases.

I was under the impression you have up to 12 months to go back and purchase your extended warranty?
I've had mine for three months, mileage is at 6k. About to purchase a 6 yr 125000 Premium ESP w/$200 deductible from Flood Ford for $2020. Waiting for my dealers counter offer.
I'm sure you have 12 months to get it and still be considered new unless you want to write in your bill of sale and add it to you payment (this is what I did ford Canada was offering 0% for 5yrs why not) it cost me $4100 plus our 13% tax for 8yrs/200,000kms I did it as I'm planning on keeping this truck at least eight years my last one I had for six and had no intentions of selling it other than that I was out of warranty and the 2017's were just so tempting lol. Like you mentioned with all the electronics on these new trucks I feel it will be worth it in the long run.

is that $4100 the premium care warranty? Local dealer in Saskatchewan is quoting $5100 for 7 years 150,000 km.
I went with 8 year/125,000 mile Premium Care, with the add on $125 lighting coverage and $100 deductible it cost me $3110 USD. Champion Ford's online quote was $3,060.

I did the same, all covered no deductible and premium service and full warranty to 7 years and 200k. Canadian funds quite a difference in the numbers but at 0%, can't go wrong. I wasn't going to do this but when they wrote it up and we reviewed the fine print, AND I looked at all the electronics and things that are so much more complicated, I think it's pretty smart. If you don't ever need the extra warrenty great, but if you do it won't take much to pay for itself. Also, I have full replacement insurance for the first three years. I too intend to keep the vehicle for a long time, but if I did have to trade it or upgrade, it all will come out in the wash on trade value, sale price as its all transferable. (If you do it right).
My offering was the 6yr bumper to bumper extended warranty for $2200, they said Fords retail on this warranty was $3500 and it has to be done at invoicing otherwise it's more.
So basically everything's covered for 6 years, no deductible. I've got till Thursday to get it added in my invoice.

Its already been said. You have 12 months, 12k miles to buy a ford extended warranty before the price changes. They are telling you different to make you feel like you need to rush and buy, hopefully with them.
