89 F350 Fun Ton Plow Truck Turbo 460 FiTech

Yes hungry, was getting about 6 mpg on e85, big meats, and spirited driving. Recently switched to 91 premium and far better milage.
Looks like an injector is leaking or stuck open on the FiTech, hydro locked during starts a few times and running rich. Disconnected the fuel pump, cleared the engine out then quickly shut off the fuel cell valves, will get it in the shop tomorrow.
Also has been going through tps sensors, have to see if there is an alignment issue or the shaft is too long...
I love the things the FiTech can do, but getting tired of the typical electrical nightmares.

I'm on a few fitech facebook groups, and it is either a fantastic rig, or a troublesome pos.
I picked up a set of twins to use with megasquirt. They look like they were in a fire, but the throttlebodies are good. I need to find injectors for them, and go from there. I'm thinking turbo 390 in my 67 mustang fastback with dual quad intake.
Or I have a tunnel ram for a 429/460, and a regular cab shortbed 77 F150 with a nice 460 and edelbrock victor heads, that may need some boost...

The v6 tbird FiTech 1200 has been very good...aside from an early ecu failure, but I didn't wire it initially...
The fun ton FiTech 1200 has done everything it should program wise, just hardware issues...o2, tps, and now injectors. Been looking hard at the go port for my next build, would use quality e85 injectors. I worked on a supercharged eec4 port efi 351w mustang, and throttle response was INSANE! The tune wasn't the best and was rich down low which helped a bit.
Your 67 looks a little tight under hood for turbo plumbing, I think the 77 would be sweet at an easy 800hp on pump gas with the Vic's.

I need to get working on some projects. I moved away 8 years ago, and got married 5 years ago. So many things have been on hold. I've collected some interesting things though, but nowhere to work on stuff, and the toys are 650 miles away.
I've been building cars for other people during this time, but nothing too fun.

The un-fun ton truck now...
Last year I brought my 68 mustang coupe down to where I am. It's been in the garage with a torque converter seal leak. Crushed stock head pipes on stock manifolds, and stock autolite 2bbl carb. The AC needs to be put back together, and being a black car, and 90*, with nothing faster than 25mph driving... it gets damn hot. So I was fine not to driving it this summer. It's super slow.
I need to start working on it. I have stainless headers and stainless everything for exhaust.
Once I can get clearance from the wife to park her crappy 2017 ecoboost mustang outside for a while, I'll have room to pull engine and trans to give it a DuPont overhaul and aluminum oil pan and dress up stuff. Then slightly higher than stock tq converter, and some 325 gears. It should be a funner car after. I'm not wanting a rocket, just a nice driver. I have other cars for fast.
Now I just need to stop working so much so I have time.

Heat and black are not a good combo lol....all in good time.
I played in my 38 Ford when I was a kid, plans are to pull it out of the weeds next spring, some 40 years of getting to know it. (and actually sold it once)
Nick said the unfun ton is getting 8.75mpg with the 35's and pulls the the 5th wheel camper better than his 6.0 diesel did. 460 ftw even if not turboed.
And this just in from Duluth Mn. this afternoon...check out what the lil v6 did on the facebook page.

Man, I said the same thing about my 460s.
I have a 95 f250 supercab, efi 460 and e4od... very nice work truck.
I also have an 87 f250 with a carb 460 and 5spd... that is a badass towing truck. It's not stock. LoL. We tow a 14k pound tractor on a 15 or 20 ton trailer...
I bought a 2000 superduty with a psd, and it was a freakin turd... stock.
Now it's worked over and fun, but my go to is my old ugly 87, when I need to do some serious work.

15 ish. There wasn't a lot of boost around peak tq (3000-3500) being set up like a supercharger, so I kept the timing a little higher than I would if it saw 20psi around peak tq. Could prolly add more with the e85 and the good shot of methanol it was running, but I always like to stay on the safe side.
That s480 should be nice once you crank up the boost, my old school t72 was REALLY SCREAMING when I turned up the boost to 21.6 psi.
