Electrical Problem?
Hi All, I have searched the forum, but cant find anything close to what I have going on.
I have a 2004 Excursion, V8 gas, 4wd.
About 2 weeks ago the radio started turning itself on after I exited the vehicle, vehicle off, no keys in the ignition. Sometimes the dome lights would also be on, but not always. Then for a few days the radio wouldnt shut off at all when the X was shut off and the door opened. Also, when I locked the door with the key fob it would hold a few seconds and then the lock would unlock itself. This has been intermittent.
Last night the windshield wipers started acting erratic. Start and stop,change speeds when on, and then start on their own when the control was off. Today I have the OD light on the shift column blinking with no response when pushed, no speedometer, no wipers at all, they are stopped in the middle of the windshield and its giving me a p0500 code.
Thought it was a door switch until last night, now I dont have a clue.
Where the hell do I start?

That's my first guess. Water can cause some strange symptoms to the electrical system.
Get her dried out and sealed up and see if that helps. Maybe tarp overnight if sitting outside during a rain event.
