weird noise
I have a 2000 exp 4x4 5.4L with a strange noise that only happens from a cold or some what cooled down start. It goes away after the first run through first gear. It sounds almost like an exhaust leak or a vacume build up in the engine. I dont know too much about the ford systems and you guys seem to know quite a bit so I figured I would shoot.I am not getting any sort of engine light either. please advise my lost self

sounds like broken exhaust manifold bolts in the head. It seems from what I have read that it is more common on the passenger side. As the head and manifold heat up, they swell and seal off.
