MASSIVE increase in DEF use.

So from 0 km on brand new truck to 11,000 km the truck used about 1/3 of the def. Most of that use was pulling a trailer. I took it to ford to get an oil change, they filled def up. The truck has now used 3/4 of the def in a little more than 2000km. What is going on!?

It also seems to use way more fuel while pulling trailer in 4x4 at low speed. Max speed 60kph.

Yeah it's really odd. I was very impressed with def usage before, now it's laughable.

Mine it's little less than half but more than 3/8 and it's about 5000 miles(8050 Km), only towed twice, one bumper not to much wait about 5000 pounds 600 miles and gooseneck horse trailer (three horses on it) about 400 miles.

Are you sure the dealer filled it up? The 17's tank is 7.5gallons now maybe they only added a 2.5gallon can and called it full

Hmmm, your gauge says it's over half full. Somethings off with a sensor or the computer. I don't think it's really used all the DEF it (and you) thinks it has.

Yeah it was down to a 1/4 tank so I poured in the rest of a jug I had. Guage came up but it still thinks it's almost empty

Only if you configure your dash that way otherwise that's the turbo gauge you can change it in the center dash config
