So fenders on, front ready for wiring, and the bumber on so i can stop bashing my shins on the frame!
Hood on next, (sitting right there) and then finish all the wiring in front engine comp and cab.

Paint box in spring when temperatures rise to above 0c and then do bed, and running boards and tailgate.
Finish the tail lights wiring, and go drive it!

Oh, ya, the chrome accents...i gotta get them re-chromed in the next month or two.....
And those rims and tires are WAY too big for the truck....at least an inch shorter and narrower.

They reproduce those hash marks or Sargeant stripes for that beautiful 54 grille, you know. They are pricey, so maybe it's cheaper for you to rechrome than to buy repop plus the shipping and the import tax for you.

Little visible

HID headlights with LED daytime running, LED bulbs in the marker/ signals.
busy on electrical, so not much to share, headlights and marker lights all in, horn, washer and rad overflow in.
main fusable link in, grounds run in engine bay, just gotta finish wiring engine and then bring rear wires to back.
then into cab to finish there.

Washer bottle and overflow tank

Nice clean dash
Ok, update time.
wiring all done but climate control and stereo. They are both going into glove box to dash looks same as stock.

powering up, was a bit of a surprise as i forgot to install the horn switch! Grandpa got a shock as the loud horn sounded!

fixed a few small issues, brake switch had the wire reversed, marker led bulbs needed the dropping resistors, and headlight had a loose connection.
Headlights started working, and burned a wire on the gauge cluster.
Seems like factory soldering on leds is poor, shorted out on a 28 gauge wire, and the little smoke told me the story.

just three wires on climate system, and hookup stereo next weekend.
Put the wire covers on all over to clean it all up.
Back to paint as its nice a warm here again, get the box on and hookup tail lights.

Wiring done but the climate control and kickdown switch.
So good to get that done. Everything working and cleaned up.

had to adjust carb floats, gas was draining back to tank if sitting for more than a couple hours. Starts in .6 of a second cranking.
