4x4 Open diff

I have a 95 F-150 5.0 4x4 with open diff. Does this mean that my front axle is also open diff ... so that when I'm in 4WD only one of the front wheels is being powered (like the back).

Thanks for you help.

Yes its the same in the front. i think the open diffs suck. you only have one wheel spinning in the front and the back. i would just call it a 2x2 #####. I couldnt go any where in the snow and had no traction till i installed the powertrax lock right in the rear and the 2 wheel dirve worked as good as the 4 wheel drive did before i put the locker.I would put a locker in if you want both tires to grabe good.

I could go farther and do more radical stuff in 2wd than in 4wd after I installed my lockjer. No comparison. And when in 4wd, wow, thinks start breakin more often. And vehicle starts a rollin (over that is!).
