Spring Fling

I haven't noticed anybody mentioning doing the Spring Fling.
And the way things are looking for me, April is going to be super busy, so I can't promise that I'm going to make it. Tim got us tickets to see Jeff Dunham for Christmas, and that show is in April. And it looks like there's going to be a week that I'm going to be gone. I'm planning on renting an enclosed trailer for a week. I'm wanting to empty the attic, and shed completely, all but my tool box, and lawn mower. I'm hauling that back to Missouri and going to store that stuff in a rented storage shed. And a good friend back home, the same guy that I got Ka'Bluey from has a show he's putting on with his Monster Truck, Earthquake. And I'm planning on being there to watch that.
If y'all go ahead and do the Spring Fling, if I'm in town, i will try to at least come kill a day. I'll just have to leave "Darth Bob" at home.

UB not to get off track of the fling...

When the wife & I moved down here from CT 2 years come April we used PODS.
It took 3 of the largest ones they had and my Durango and Drag car on trailer full.

When we first put the CT house up for sale we had to prep the house (remove a lot of stuff) so had a POD dropped in the driveway. When full I called them up to bring another one and take that one and store it till we moved.

For the larger house stuff I could not move myself we hired a crew to pack it in the 3rd POD and hired a crew to unload it down here in NC.

To get all the PODS down here told them date we wanted them and they brought all 3 at the same time. I even told them what PODS went to my garage and what 1 went to the house to make it easier to unload.

They will store them as long as you want or you can keep them on your property to load/unload for $$ but was not bad.
We were told if going with normal moving Co. before they bring to your new place they tell you you owe more $$ before you get your stuff.

So you know 1 of the PODS had all my garage stuff, 3 v8 motors, 2 tranys, intakes, 3 engine stands, engine hoist, tools, etc and was vary heavy as 1 of the drivers asked what I had in it because of the weight.

Just a thought is all

I did check on a pod, and pod storage.
I was told $500 a month to store a pod, so that put the fire put pretty quick. Not the dollar figure I was expecting.

Alright let's get this camp out on the right tracks.

Badin Lake: if we're not taking off highway vehicles, then we can switch to a different location. Name out what you'd like to see or have available we can start narrowing down where we want to meet up at.

Dates:

April\May are the current targets. April 8\15 are the weekends of Mary's Spring Break. May has the wedding for me that's out of the country, that I 'MAY' be going to.

Let's hear everyone elses availability.

April looks bad for me too. May the 20th, is iffy with all that we're going to have going on with the move just weeks away. I'm going to have to play it by ear.

Well everybody, it doesn't look like I'm going to be here for the Spring Fling.
We have most of the money saved up for our move back home.
It looks like we'll be moving that first week of May. I'm waiting to hear back from my buddy that is coming out to help load, and drive that he's changed his flight from July, to May.
I'll have Ka'Bluey transported either in March, or early April, then concentrate on being ready to go.
I do hope y'all make it, and post pictures for us that can't.

Right now we are looking at June for the weekend get together. We can meet some where, or I can host a cook out. Since Darth Bob's not here, anything that goes wrong, is his fault, but I will still hide the 'light sabre' just in case!
