So I'm assuming mid year the 2018 will begin construction and will be able to order later in the year? My question is....does anyone here think they will make the LED lights a separate option that won't include the moon roof package? Or can you order the ultimate package without the moon roof already?
as cool as a moon roof seems I really don't know if dealing with a leaking roof is something I wanna have a headache about.

I honestly doubt it.
You can order a King Ranch and get the LEDs without a moon roof if you want. I almost did just that, but decided to go ahead with the Lariat Ultimate. That moon roof is pretty damn awesome!

I've only had my order in for 17 days (who's counting, right?), so the only issue I have had so far is being patient enough to wait until it gets here!

I didn't care for the moon roof myself but it came with the Lariat I purchased. To be honest I didn't think I would care much for it but boy was I wrong. In fact this truck came with a ton of features I didn't give much stock to but later came to appreciate them like heated steering wheel, blind spot detection, moon roof. I'm afraid I may have spoiled myself.
I personally have had no issue with the moon roof, it opens, closes and keeps the water out. We have had some heavy rain fall here recently to really put it to the test too.

I have the twin moonroof and it has been raining on and off since I bought the truck last week and ive had zero issues with leaking. I read that in freezing temps it could cause I little gap to let water in, where I live it may go down to 34* but so far no water in mine .

6,000 times through the car wash and no leaks. I only have 4,000 miles on mine since Halloween. Love the roof. I parked outside in the snow and ice a couple of times this winter and no problems.

3000 Km, 2 months ownership, 4 car washes, 2 manual, 2 automated, rain, sleet, hail, freezing rain, -40 to +12 C no leaks, no issues. The sunroof is awesome especially at night, with the stars out. My last truck had one, I didn't think I would bother but this truck had it and I got it and like it a lot. Lariat Ultimate in signature.
