Hello from Wyo
I've been lurking for quite some time; reading, following, drooling... you know, the norm.
Well, a '77 F-250 somehow ended up in the garage Saturday so, I guess I actually have .02 to throw in here and converse with all of you gents.
Truck is a '77 as stated before. 351M, 4spd & 4x4. The motor is new with less than 5k miles on it (as stated by PO, I can't verify this). Transmission shifts smoothly & the clutch feels great. All rubber brake lines are brand new so there's a plus; perhaps more of the brake system is new?
As you can tell by my Username, this truck came off a local ranch. Which means the body is beat all to heck; having a ranch in the family I struggle to understand how people can afford to do that to their equipment.. There's a small issue with the front end I have yet to diagnose so no 4x4 as of yet. How hard is it to rebuild a Dana 44?

I'm debating new bed sides or just replacing the box as it is in very sad shape. Interestingly enough, the cab shows none of the usual cancer. Cab corners are +90%, drip rails show no rust, The doors don't show rust on the bottom & at a glance the only rust on the floor board is on the passenger side and looks to be treatable. Truck is ugly but it runs & drives. Plus, and most importantly, it was cheap
