Back on the road.

Well I haven't posted for a while, and just thought I'd let ya'll know that my B2 was O.O.C. for a while but its running now thanks to a new starter. While it was down I took some time to clean things up a little and after a good cleaning the throttle body is performing great. With some new vaccume hoses and a new valve cover breather, the over all down time was good for the old girl. But she still has some problems, the battery is obvious, but the real irritation is with idle. The engine still wants to idle up and down on its own and I can not figgure it out. Also on its first test run after I put it back together, I shut the engine down to run in the store and when I got back in to start it it acted either like it was flooded or not getting fuel, I ran the battery down trying to start it. With some help from a jump start it started after two tries, like nothing was ever wrong. Any ideas would be great, thanks.

Fair enough. Where is it, so I don't have t go looking for it, and what does it look like, so I know what to look for? And thank you for the reply.

Back on the road.

Passengers side of the upper intake, about half way back, looks like a silver film canister with a tail and two wires.
