I am trying to determine my GCWR. The label on the driver side door post only lists GVWR as 10,000 lbm. The 2017 Towing Guide lists several options for GCWR.
It would either be 21,900 or 22,500 lbm. Note 1 says for 9,900 lbm GVWR package which may be generically referring to the 10,000 GVWR option, however, it makes no sense to me that this optional package would result in LESS GCWR than a standard capability.
My understanding is that Ford offers a no-cost 9900# GVWR "reduction" to help lower registration costs in some areas. The 10K rating is the 2017 F250's standard GVWR for all variants except the regular cab.
If your F250 is rated for 10K#, then I'd go with the higher GCWR numbers.
