gt 40ps on windsor {help}
i was wanting to find out my compression ratio by simply bolting these heads on a 60 over windsor ho....i think it's 8 to 1 now but don't hold me to that, it has the stock heads on it now and thats what i was told.??? i want to up my compression but still run 89 octane...i was told my compression would go up 1 to 2 points with gt 40p heads. fordzman

Your compression will go up how much that depends on your block and the heads. You could measure deck height and your combustion chamber or have someone do it then you know weather to mill or not to get the compression you want. I would think it would put you more into the low 9:1. Hope this helps some

GT-40Ps have a 60cc chamber, stock is 64cc. If you know your stock CR, you can calculate the clearance volume, reduce it by 4cc per cyl and calculate the new CR. Without knowing your stock CR, you can't do a thing.
