Thinking about the 3" rough country lift. Any issues?
2012 f250 6.2
I have a 2013 F250 6.2. The 3" RC lift is what I am going with as well. I put a 3.5" RC lift on my Chevy (don't worry, its GONE LOL ) and it performed better than stock suspension, looked great, sat level, and I had no issues. Here's hoping we both have the same experience with the 3" RC lift for our supah duty's!
All comes down to what you need the lift for. What was said to me is something I will provide back to you. What is your purpose for the lift? Larger tires, looks, show, etc. If you think you may want bigger later you should just save yourself the effort and save money for the bigger lift. Including myself you will find that once you put a lift in you will want more. I don't know 100% if I will ever do it but I damn sure wish for a 6" lift on my DRW but all I did is level kit which still allows for 35" tires and looks great. I just see those other trucks around the neighborhood with that 6" lift and it looks fantastic! I have no real purpose for a lift that big other than it looks great!
I have a 12 company supplied duty and when it was brand new, and the boss wasn't looking, it acquired a 3" rough country! Been in there for 180k miles now. Rough country has a **** poor powdercoat so the front springs rusted quickly. Other than that, and 3 pairs of different shocks its runnin strong! I installed the series 2 system with replacement springs. I think rough country uses the same drop brackets for there 4.5" lift so a guy could mod a cheap 3" lift to about 5" real easy. If I am lucky the boss will park a 17 duty in my driveway this year. I think a 3" RC lift with a 2" block front and rear will give it a "poor mans" 5" lift!, when the boss isn't looking!
