93 Ranger 4cyl starting problems
I have a 93 Ford Ranger 4cyl 2.3 liter with 94,000 original miles.
About once every week for the last month or so when I try to start it, the motor turns and all but it will not start without a boost from another vehicle. I have had the battery, starter and alternator checked and all are good. I took it to a mechanic and he put it on the computer and could not find anything wrong, so he kept it for 3 days to see if the problem would duplicate with no luck. The truck is not sitting for long periods of time (12-16hrs) either.
I have searched the internet with no luck and came upon this site. I thought maybe someone has had or knows someone else that has had this problem with their Ford Ranger and could help me out with a solution.

A buddy's car was doing that and he had the batt checked and they said it was good, but it wasn't he changed the batt and it worked fine. Don't know if that's your problem, but if it's the original battery, it might be worth changing...or borrow someone elses and see if it still happens.
