Hey, you don't see me on this segment often, usually in the older stuff. But yesterday an 89 F250 Supercab followed me home. I bought it of a local fb sale site, bad pictures but cheap cheap ($200). I was surprised to get there and find a pretty decent looking old truck. Drivers door and seats are a little rough, otherwise not bad. 4 extra E rated 235/85/16s in the bed. The people bought it, drove it home and couldn't get anything but a click when they went to restart and never messed with it, then the city was going to tow it. 460/C6 and 4.10 gear. Oh, and it's kinda of a snazzed up conversion, called a Red-E-Kamp
Wow. $200... You pre-48 guys score so much cool stuff to play with.
When you're done tweaking, should be back to its reliable as "brick through a plate glass window" self.
I want to locate a rolled/near destroyed late 7.5/E4-2WD 250/350 for next to nothing & chuck the entire drive train in a 73 Clydesdale Mustang I've had since 77.
Pictures, we love pictures & good luck w/new purchase.
Well, this is actually kinda funny. I was dealing with clueless girl, boyfriend never did show. She told me they drove it to the place it sat and then it only clicked when they went to start it and jumping didn't help. Turns out the engine is stuck tight. I'll unload it today and pull the plugs, maybe just a bad gasket and hyro-locked. Girl now doesn't respond to fb message or texts. Also didn't look too close at the title and it has sellers name filled in and original guy was Thunderhawk. So the truck probably came off the rez.
