Hoping someone can help me identify this transmission I removed from a 1960 F100 with a 302. I know it's not original but am trying to figure out what it is. It's all cast iron including top plate, 5-speed with a home brew adapter to the 302 bell housing. I'm assuming it is out of a military truck due to the color, but it has no identifying marks other than the casting number in the second pic:
I think you have a Clark, and it might be a 207vo. Those were found in late '40s/early '50s GM trucks, including military.
Do a google search by "clark 207vo" and you will find a bunch of hits. Oddly, when I try to post the image only, the pictures won't come up. When I went to the sites, the pictures were gone also. But there are several very clear shots of that "5455" casting number, as well as the general case shape etc.
