Battery Removed
I have a 98 F-150 with a 4.2 engine that has a speed chip. The battery has been removed for the last six weeks. Plan to power it up. What has to be done re the computer memory? Thanks RC

Hi RC and welcome to FTE 
All you have to do is drive the truck a while so the PCM can relearn it's idle and fuel trim tables etc. After a couple days of driving it it should be back to normal.

I've never experienced any problems after removing the battery, which I've done many times. I even went out and did a few hard runs after I had done some mods on my 02 F150 5.4 right after reconnecting the battery. Could this cause a problem latter on?
