Power steering questions
I'm replacing my 79 F250's worn out p/s box with a better used one. What fluid do I need to use? What did they originally come with, ATF or p/s fluid?
The nasty stuff that was in my pump looks and smells like ATF....
Also my return hose to the pump is kinda swelled and I'd like to replace it. Is this a special type of hose? Or will any old hose work?

And I'd use standard fuel hose for the return

Also, how much fluid does the system hold?
I plan on getting a shop manual, thanks for your patience
