75 Crew swap
I know if i start with a F-250 s/c long box the frame will need to be shortened right of the bat.
Anyone have any experience in this??
To answer your question, 2WD and 4Wd have different crossmembers to clear the front axle and to support the t-case. We utilized a coil sprung 44 from a bronco/F140 and swapped on 8 bolt outers. We removed the crossmembers from the bronco frame and installed them on the CC. Only minor modifications where needed.
The key to the swap... good mearsurements!!

ps. it goes down the road like a dream
IOW, S/C SWB is 9" less than Std Cab LWB & about 30" longer than Std Cab SWB.
S/C LWB is about 30" longer than Std Cab LWB, but 9" shorter than Crew Cab LWB, although 30" longer than a Crew Cab SWB. So I would say the Suber Cab Chassis is pretty much stand alone to Super Cabs.
And why would I know this? I want to mate a 77 F250 Trailer Spcl S/C SWB & E 200-300 Club Chateau making a phantom, 1-off truck that looks like a "Brand X" Suburban, but is FoMoCo parts.
It req's mating van roof to S/C "A" Pillar & Wshield header, while getting side doors & rear wheel openings to fall in about the right place. I been dealing with LWB Vans , SWB Vans, Xtnd Vans, SWB Super Cabs & LWB Super Cabs etc. etc. etc.
How's that for off the wall engineering????
I know that the c/c swb is 150" wheelbase
s/c swb is 139
s/c lwb is 155
would prefer not to use a body lift,, would like it to look like it was meant to be.
Just an idea i had,, might just leave it the way it is and drive the wheels off of it
thanks
