Hello everyone, I am a looong time follower of these forums, and just joined to get some help.
I ordered our new 2017 F350 DRW Lariat Ultimate on 1/26. I ordered the Shadow Black with Magnetic accent. I am really wanting to get a Ranch Hand grille guard for the new truck. I understand that they have addressed the front camera and it should work with the grille guard. I did not get the Automatic cruise control so I am not worried about that function. I did however get the LED headlights, and this maybe a silly thing to worry about but was curious how the grille guard will or will not interfere with the "daytime running" effect of the LED lights?
As crazy as I may be, I love the look of these headlights during daylight hours, and I'm a little worried the grille guard may take away from that??
Anyone who has the LED lights with a grille guard or front replacement bumper, I would love to hear from you and see pics. Same for anyone without LED's and a ranch hand or any brand grille guard.
We're at my wife's grandmothers in Mississippi. Had this installed Saturday morning and took this pic for you. I haven't looked at it with the DRL on but at night I didn't notice and reduction of output. For those with th ACC, it still works great. Only thing is I wish they had made a wider one for the 450s, it's just a scunch narrower than the front flares
The OP loves the look of leds, are you going to drive in a car in front of you so you can look back at it, or are you asking for all the random people you'll see out on the road. I'm half-joking I just don't think the question makes much sense.

If you don't mind, could you take a picture of the image from the front camera? In the 180 degree and regular mode. I'd like to see if the bumper impacts the view at all. Thanks!
Thanks for the reply'so guys, great looking trucks!
Oh I never said my thoughts or concerns made sense!! I was mainly concerned the headlight protection portion of the guard would completely block the "C section" of the daytime running lights, I can see from Rusty's picture that they do not. Exactly what I wanted to see, thanks again!

I guess ranch hand should have been a clue. Working with cattle. As for deer I think it's overkill but then I added a bull bar for protection and highly doubt that will take a deer I know they work good for duck protection.
THANK YOU!!!! It appears to almost void the point of the camera... but with a bumper like that, who cares?
I think it still works great. I mainly use it for parking when I'm nosing up to another vehicle. The 360 cameras are one of my favorite things on the truck

Exactly, we've been on the road since 1a heading home from visiting family. We have passed no less than 50 deer on the side of the road next to the shoulder. If they decide to jump out I'd rather be able to continue on our drive instead of waiting for a wrecker.
Another perk is protesters are being more and more brazen and blocking highways. I'll take all the protection I can get
