Well all, I've been wanting to do this for a while, was planning to hold off for a couple years to save a bit more $$, but I've decided now is the time to take the plunge and put my order in. My wife gave me the blessing, so how could I say no?
At any rate, I'm putting my order in today, so I should be getting a job 2 truck. I debated long and hard on what to order, trying to save a few bucks, but I decided on a Lariat Ultimate. I wanted the KR, but decided to save a little while still getting what I want. I will keep this truck for 8-10 years, so I didn't want to second guess myself and wish I had ordered this or that. So, with all that rambling said, here's what I'm ordering (order codes included because I copied directly from my spreadsheet I've been using ):
Blind-Spot Information System w/Cross Traffic Alert [60B]
Lighting Pkg, LED [59Q]
Axle Ratio, 3.55 w/Electronic Locking
Cruise Control, Adaptive [527]
Paint, Lower Two-Tone [954]
Wheel Well Liners, Rear (Installed by Dealer) [61M]
I put my '08 on eBay and sold it in less than 24 hours to a gentleman in New York who is going to wait until my new one comes in. Really can't go wrong with that deal! She has been a good truck, but I'm really looking forward to hooking our fifth wheel behind the 6.7L. Hopefully my new one is here by early April so it's ready for camping season.
Now, to join the wait with so many of you other folks...

how do you sell on eBay? Do you have to ship the truck and pay for the shipping??
Congrats! Hopefully you will not have to wait as long as myself , Rob and some others.
Thanks! Yeah, hopefully not. Salesman did say there may be a delay due to the 20" wheels. Yay!

Thanks! I hope it takes 61 days from last Thursday. That's when I joined AQHA to get my $500 rebate.

Just list it. Free to list, and you only pay if it sells (if you go through eBay). Buyer pays all shipping costs unless you work out something else. In my case, buyer is paying all shipping costs. He wanted a truck from further south without as much salt damage and is willing to buy sight unseen. Just be careful of scammers. I was leery, but feel better after talking with the buyer several times on the phone. Do not give out bank account numbers and make sure payment is cleared before sending the title or shipping the vehicle. Common sense type things.
I'm happy for ya! That's going to be a nice truck.
Thanks man! She's no dually, but she'll work well for me. I drove a dually a couple weeks ago, and oddly enough, it didn't drive as big as I thought it would. I did find myself making wide turns and watching the curbs though. LOL!
My DORA had a suggestion to change to 18's for faster delivery as well Tom. However, since it was scheduled witting a week and given an ETA of 7 weeks from date of order, I don't think it could come much faster...
Congrats, I had pretty much the same truck ordered until my wife saw the wood grain on the doors. She thought it sort of looked like snake skin and that's all it took, you know how it goes with women and snakes! I changed it to a King Ranch to get the colored wood grain. That was an expensive piece of plastic.
Did you get the adaptive steering?

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured...won't make much difference. At any rate, I'd rather wait an extra 2 weeks for the 20's anyway. BTW, didn't you buy a set off eBay or something? Why did you order if you already have a set?

Thanks, and congrats to you too! Ha! Sounds about right...my wife usually pics the most expensive option too! I like the color of the KR seats, plus the caribou accents on the 20" wheels, but I actually prefer the wood grain on the Lariat as it isn't quite as orange-ish. In my house, though, I'm more afraid of snakes than the wife!
Yes, I did get the adaptive steering...it comes with the tow tech bundle.
