82 Bronco Start and Ignition tied together
I pulled 82 Bronco with a pretty rust free tub that needs a front clip out of a barn last week and it seems to have an issue with the start and ignition circuit.
The PO had run a wire and push button switch to the solenoid to by pass the ignition switch to drive her, so I know this isn't related to the current issue of evicting a few barn rats.
The majority of the harnesses seem to be intact but I haven't run them completely. Does anyone know the best place to start looking for where the ignition and start circuits can be shorted together? If you hook the red start wire to the solenoid it engages as soon as the key hits the run circuit. It does't engage in the ACC position.
The current set up (bypassing the original start circuit) the Bronco runs fine, new column module was no help.
Any input is appreciated.
