Van front end conversion

Long time viewer first time poster. Iv got 5 e series vans in my fleet and yall have helped so much on them. Now I'm a little stumped and couldn't find anything on it. My wife rear-ended someone in our 95 and I have a 2008 that she totaled last rear when it rolled down a hill backwards that I wanted to steal the front end off of and put on the older van. I just want to know how much conversion work I would have to do before i start hacking. THANKS!

There is a thread posted here where it was done. The biggest issue, as I recall, was fabricating brackets for the bumper, and the hood catch. everything else was simple bolt on.

Yeah, I remember that one too, seems like it was in the last six months or so. It was a full write up with pictures. I think the guy did it in his driveway IIRC. I searched everything I could think of but can't find the thread.

Yes, definitely, I remember he did it in his driveway, and he was from CA. I think he mentioned it was for his son, who's in a wheelchair, so that might help searching. I'm pretty sure it was more than 6 months ago.

She does need to be a passenger but we have 10 kids so it's pretty hard. Iv got 2 more vans coming to the fleet next month for parts and one of them is a 2010 that was rear ended so I'll start searching again to try and find that writeup. thanks!

Damn, I assume that doesn't work with going from '86 to 2014

Not even close, that's for the '92+ model years.

I have an 05 E350 super duty and want to swap, hood, fenders, headlights, grill, and bumper from a 2008-2014. I found a complete front that has the black grill/bumper and the box truck type headlights in black trim with everything else for 700 bucks from a 2010. Needs bumper repainted black and I’d have to get the other parts painted white. Anyone know if the grill is the same black vs chrome?

I do only because my E350 is a Motorhome base. Some RV campsites won’t rent to rigs over 10 years old even though mine is pristine inside and out, with a full modern interior renovation. With these parts I can pass off as a 2014, the last year this nose configuration was made.

That may work, but it'll not last long, they'll cut it in a couple more years.
