New Engine What should I get
I'm thinking about just trashing my engine and opting out for a brand new one I have an 88 Bronco II Manuel 4x4 High and Low
just wondering what kinda engien is the best for off-road and on-road

I don't know what engine you have now, or what engine you might want to put in. You do have limitations on what you can do though.
If you have a four cylinder, you may want to stick with it. A reman. engine isn't very expensive.
If you have a six, then things can be a bit more expensive for an engine.
If you don't care about money, cost of fuel prices or doing some work, you can always convert to a 5.0! Many have and are having a lot of fun from the outcome. I've seen some serious B-II's at Moab that may not have the suspension for the ultimate trails, bolders and 5' tree stumps, but with the V-8, can conquer just about everything else!
I've seen one whip a Camaro Z into a frenzy trying to keep up!
Check out Ford Performance Catolog ($5.00) at your local dealership. You may have to order it. Lots of great stuff inside and info as well.
