55 cab vs 56 cab

Im wondering if a 55 cab and a 56 cab tops are interchangeable? Will a 55 Cab top fit a 56 Cab?

I seriously doubt it. The 56 is a one year only design with the wrap around windshield and an overhanging roof over the windshield. If you need a replacement, Terry's F-100's in Nebraska sells a fiberglass replacement.

Not even close. Contact Dennis Carpenter (Pat Ford is the rep who I have spoken to...last time was at the F100 SuperNats last year) and ask them when they will have a roof panel available for the 56. DC is in the process of setting up production for an all-steel 56 cab and is supposed to be offering the roof panel as a replacement part.

Great news Charlie. The new roof panel may save some old 56's deemed too far gone.

I have been bugging Pat Ford for years about this part...every time he comes to the F100 Western Nationals I think he has an eye out for me. I tricked him this year however and showed up in TN at the Super Nats...he wasn't expecting that!
