To echo Excurvelle, I seriously doubt any RV dealer would touch the ProPride. Additionally, if you ever need to service beyond greasing every 1500 miles it's important to understand the working of the unit. I had a helper and a floor jack to assist, it's not hard, just time consuming.
When we traded our old TH in on the new TT the service manager and lead service tech saw the Hensley Arrow and said "We aren't touching THAT thing, they are too complicated and heavy!" I said fine and that I had intended to handle swapping it over the the TT. I parked the TH on their lot and left it hitched to my EX while I disconnected everything from the TH and then drove over to the TT with the entire assembly hanging off the receiver hitch. I backed up to the TT and latched the HA ball to the TT and had all the trailer side connections made up in under an hour. . Service tech said that I cheated.
I'll get to it here in a couple of weeks. Agreed it would be best to do it myself and make sure it is done right. On another note, got my tuner from 5star and installed the 87 performace tow tune. Took a little spin and the truck is pretty peppy now. Figured I better do something after I just had headers and exhaust run. One of the manifolds was leaking. Pretty quite in the cab again. The flowmaster 50 series are not that aggresive. Loving life. After the tires and propride. 4.10's are going in next. Then I'll have the truck set up the way I want. Figuring a little money up front is a whole lot better than 50k and big payments.
It's an 05 with the 5.4. The TT is a 14 Salem RLIS checking in at 8k on the scales. Total as I travel is 16k. Pretty evenly matched. Truck has done fine so far. Just making it better Here is a pic from Christmas when we went to SC to stay for a few days visiting Charleston and Savanah.
Well, I finally got it on and fine tuned. This was not a 3 hour job. It took me about 6 or so. Kept playing with the stinger height. Man is this thing heavy. But I got it. What I found. I did need need the chain extenders. Also if you don't have the battery in. You will need the cord extension for power from the truck. I'll hit the scales later. After I got it all set. I took it for a couple hour ride up and down I4 here in Central Florida. There is a big difference it the handling. I had the old set up really good. I would still get pulled a little bit when semi's passed. Now I don't get pulled. I can still feel them pass. Changing lanes is effortless. Trailer goes where the truck goes. Overall I am glad I spent the money. Well worth it to me. With the exhaust up grades and the 5 star tune. It pulls awesome. Power is really good. I can now pass also more comfortable. Gears next. Here are a couple pics.
It looks like the front is a little light, but looks can be deceiving.
I'm glad you are happy with the propride. I've never heard anyone say that they regret the expense, so to me that says a lot.
That pic was an uphill incline. The old hitch gave me a 1" drop. The ProPride goes 1-1/2". By the tape I am within a 1/4" on the front. When I fine tuned in a level parking lot by my house. It drove and handled great. Very impressed with the stability that this thing gives.

Looks like the rear is dropped quite a bit. Why isn't the Propride lifting the rear upwards instead of dropping it more than your previous hitch? Sounds like the spring bars need tightened up more to transfer more weight to the front axle

I'll get it out again soon. Take some pics with it setting on level ground. Truck is going in soon for a gear change. With Eaton true trac's in both axles. Already have it scheduled. Thinking about a set of air bags now too. See what happens.I had the front at about a 1/4". So I could go more on the bars. It rode really good as it was though.
