So I put a deposit down on a '17 F250, CC, SRW, 6.7L, 4x4, 6 3/4' bed yesterday. I will be trading my 2011 F250(same setup). I had considered giving the Ram 2500 with the Cummins a try but could not find a compelling reason to switch(discount) and the aluminum body should hold up better in New England than a steel body truck.
My question regards the transfer of bed accessories to the new truck. I have a bed mat(Ford) and the bed extender(also Ford). I would think that if I intended to use the bed extender, I would have to find aluminum bolts to replace the existing steel ones on the bed extender or can someone tell me if the threaded inserts on the bed are steel?
