Hi,
I just got my new service truck - A 2016 f-750 with a 6.7 and 6 spd auto.
I was wondering about changing the speed limiter because I am maxing out at 75 mph and about 2300 rpms.
The 2006 F-750 with the 5.9 Cummins had the same deal, But with the Cummins dealer cd , I was able to change the cruise control to 87 mph.
Can a authorized Ford dealer change this or am I destined to get run over every time I get on I-90?

On I-90 in Washington the 'Trucks' speed limit is 60 mph. At 2300 rpm, I doubt you're gaining horsepower by allowing the engine to go faster, so my guess is that you're limited in changing much.

On I-90 In Mass, 75 mph will get you rear ended in the slow lane, The much needed increase in speed is too keep up with the flow of traffic and give me a bit of a run on the hills. I am hoping this feature will go away after break -in , But I fear not. I will talk to the local Ford Garage about what can be done.
