Frantz Oil Setup For PSD ?

Does anyone know if there is a Frantz oil kit available
for the PSD??

Does anyone have an opinion about having
a Frantz system installed?? Or about Frantz in general ?

Does anyone have a Frantz system installed?

Thanks

Yes, they do offer one for the PSD. I'm considering buying that setup myself.

The Frantz is what is known as a By-Pass filtering system..
You use your normal stock oil filter but you add this filtering system to enhance the filtering of your oil.. Your normal oil filter will only PARTIALLY filter your oil.. Current filters at best will filter
at appX 10 microns which is small enough to let metal from your engine go through your stock filter along with other contaminates to ruin your engine..
Current filtering media is mediocre at best. The frantz system which uses Toilet paper as the Filtering Element.. Not any toilet paper.. It has to be dense paper such as Scotts 1000 tissue or comparable.. This filtering media will filter down to.. get this.. to 1/10 of a micron.. This filtering will constantly keep your oil "Polished" like new.. You'll never have to change your oil. At 3000 miles you replace the old roll with a new roll and top off your oil with a new quart. Diesel engines are the hardest on motor oil! And your wallet!.. The toilet roll filtering element will also absorb water out of your oil up to 6 oz.. Where the "other " spin on elements won't.. Which makes it ideal for a fuel filter too! No more worrying about contaninated Diesel fuel!
Your fuel will go into your engine more pure than when it was first refined .. Also, if you install a TP filter to your transmission it's life will triple since there is virtually no filtering element in your transmission except for a screen.. So metal particles ( which are always present in your transmission) are free to ruin your transmission.. Usually, isn't your first major expense to replace your the tranny!! That goes before your motor.. With a TP (toilet paper) by pass- filtering set up you can put the best synthetic in your motor/transmission and have it stay new.... Forever !

I'm a Amsoil fan myself. I checked into the Frantz system also. They both filter down to 1/10 of a micron but the Amsoil filter has a higher capacity. Thus longer change intervals. I believe the Frantz system is every 3,000 miles. I can't recall the exact number but the amsoil has a much higher capacity and longer change intervals. They offer different set ups also. You can leave your full flow in place and just add the by pass (like the Frantz.) or you can the remote set up. It has an adaptor that attaches where the full flow filter was and then the full flow and bypass are mounted together in a remote location. The system is a little more expensive, that's the only downside.

The Frantz is a bit smaller I agree, it only means that it will take
the frantz a little bit longer to filter the oil..Initially. Once it's clean
it will stay clean.. I can live with 3,000 miles between element changes for the motor oil.. No big deal changing the filter, beats changing and buying new oil. I also am installing a frantz for the transmission.. Nothing but a screen to filter the transmission, thats not good enough!! The tranny is the first to be replaced! Also have one to install for the fuel, no more contaminated fuel from water etc.. The TP will grab the water where the stock fuel filter won't...

I like the idea of a transmission filter. It really make alot of sense. That will be my next project. You would think the manufacturers would install them stock. But why would they want to do that when can sell you a new one $$$$
